Situated in the northernmost part of Buena Vista County, Sioux Rapids lies in the lovely valley of the Little Sioux River. This friendly small town boasts of a new community center and the new K-12 Sioux Central School.

Recreation is terrific in the city parks and pool. The Little Sioux River connects to Linn Grove and makes for great canoeing. A new housing district has eleven lots just waiting to be filled.
